Sapno Se Bhare Naina 11th November 2011 Written Update

Vibha observes closely the toy, with which the child is playing joyfully, and then asks Rohini who sent it, and she says, on the box was written Mr.and Mrs. K. P. She thought it was from her uncle Kunal Patil. Vibha calls on the phone their number and they are surprised to hear the news, and Vibha concludes that it was not sent by them.

In their bedroom, Daksh expresses his sadness at his mother's alienation. Naina tells that his mother is angry, but this can not last for ever. Suddenly they hear Vibha calling her son, "Daksh, come down." Daksh is happy his mother has finally accepted him. When both Daksh and Naina go down, they see an angry Vibha standing on her side of the line, with the toy in her hand, and asks if he sent it. He admits that he sent it to his nephew. She places the toy on their side on the ground and tells him, she has no connection with him. Daksh becomes hard on her, and says that he has not even been permitted to see his nephew, and if he likes to send a gift to him, no one should have any reason to get angry. He tells his mother, that she can throw away the toy. After all he says, if she had no qualms to throw away her own living son, what is there for her to throw an lifeless toy. He walks away and Naina looks on and says, he loves his nephew. She picks the toy, which Vibha has placed on her side of the line, and says, if she does not want it, neither is it of use to them, and throws it out of the window. All except Vibha are uneasy with her behavior.

Late in the night, she sees her husband come to the cradle and look lovingly at his grand son, playing with the toy which he has placed in the cradle, and his wife looks at him from afar. She confronts him, and he admits that he picked the toy from outside. He tel [...]

At least 17 people have been killed after protesters opposed to Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh clashed with government forces in the city of Taiz.

Unrest In Syria -- News Updates November 11, 2011

Syria: Deadly Crackdown Continues, Say Activists -- BBC

Renewed crackdowns on anti-government protests across Syria have left at least 13 people dead, activists said.

Most of the deaths reportedly occurred in Homs, the city at the centre of months of protests against President Bashar al-Assad.

The latest violence comes hours after Human Rights Watch called on the Arab League to suspend Syria.

It said it had documented abuses against civilians in Homs that amounted to crimes against humanity.

Union City Police Officer blogs about Oakland and Alameda Sheriff's officers doing the 'dirty work' and 'taking care of business'

Censored News
http://www.bsnorrell.blogspot.com

OAKLAND, Calif. – Union City Police Officer Freddy Camacho has broken one of the rules of being a police officer: You don't blog about being on duty, especially when it comes to Oakland.
Officer Camacho, blogging at the One World Self Defense and Fitness website in Union City, describes being on duty at Occupy Oakland on the night of November 2.
Further, Officer Camacho says the Oakland Police Department and Alameda County Sheriff officers did "all the dirty work" and "took care of business" at Occupy Oakland.
Both of those police departments are now under scrutiny after Marine Scott Olsen received a skull fracture, and dozens of others were injured, during police assaults at Occupy Oakland in October. Further, UC-Berkeley, students, including young women, were b [...]

War Clouds Form over Iran

Global Research
Wayne Madsen

Israel's all-powerful lobby in Washington, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), an organization composed of Israeli collaborators, infiltrators, and outright traitors to the United States, is steamrolling through the House of Representatives H.R. 1905, which would prohibit the President of the United States, the Secretary of State, members of the U.S. Foreign Service, or any special envoy from engaging in any sort of diplomatic contact, official or unofficial, with any member or agent of the government of Iran. Only when the President informs the requisite committees may he proceed with engaging on diplomatic contact with Iran. Israel has de facto control over the foreign affairs committees of Congress, so any White House notification of the need to contact Iranian officials would be instantly transmitted to Binyamin Netanyahu's office in Jerusalem and Israel would then circumvent any U.S.-Iranian contact. AIPAC, with its resolution, is further making the United States a vassal of the Jewish state.

Israel's strategy is to make certain that its plans to attack Iran's nuclear facilities and, perhaps other targets, meet no opposition from diplomatic circles in the United States... Israel has placed its own interests well beyond and in contravention of those of the United States.

Faced with the prospect of an Israeli attack on Iran, backed by Saudi Arabi [...]

The world's top rated climatologist says that parts of Manhattan will drown by 2008.

While doing research 12 or 13 years ago, I met Jim Hansen, the scientist who in 1988 predicted the greenhouse effect before Congress. I went over to the window with him and looked out on Broadway in New York City and said, "If what you're saying about the greenhouse effect is true, is anything going to look different down there in 20 years?" He looked for a while and was quiet and didn't say anything for a couple seconds. Then he said, "Well, there will be more traffic." I, of course, didn't think he heard the question right. Then he explained, "The West Side Highway [which runs along the [...]

Bringing the very best of what we do to the veteran community

We believe that technology can be a force for good; one that builds and binds community. As a Googler, my proudest moments are when we take that technology and put it in the hands of people who can use it to communicate, collaborate, build and explore.

Today, on Veterans Day, I am proud to share a few Google tools and platforms for the military veteran community. They can be accessed on our website, Google for Veterans and Families, which was created by veterans and their family and friends, who work at Google. This single interface brings together Google products and platforms for servicemembers and their families. We believe it will be useful to all veterans, whether still in the service, transitioning out, or on a new path in their civilian lives. Here are some examples of what you'll find on the site:
  • VetConnect - This tool helps servicemembers connect, communicate and share their experiences with others who have served using the Google+ platform.
  • Google Veterans Channel - A YouTube channel for discussion about military service for veterans, their families and the public. Veterans can share their experiences with each other as well as with civilians to help shed light on the importance and complexity of service. If you have not served, this is a great place to offer your thanks by uploading a tribute video.
  • Resume Builder powered by Google Docs - We found that Docs can be a particularly helpful tool to transitioning servicemembers seeking employment. Resume Builder generates an auto-formatted resume that can be easily edited, saved and downloaded to share with potential employers.
  • Tour Builder powered by Googl [...]

Is The Era Of The Gurkhas Coming To An End?

Warriors: The formidable fighters are recruited from the Himalayan foothills of Nepal. Daily Mail

Gurkhas: The Beginning Of The End? -- The Guardian

Gurkha redundancies and falling recruitment numbers threaten Nepalese warrior tribes' 200-year tradition.

As scores of British Gurkha soldiers are made redundant by the British army and recruitment numbers fall, there is deep concern among Nepal's mountain tribes that their proud 200-year tradition could be under threat.

It is recruitment season in the Himalayan foothills, a time when recruiters for the British army, locally known as "Galla walla", themselves former Gurkha soldiers, go from village to village looking for raw talent.

"Although it goes without saying that the [Penn State] allegations are horrific regardless of the race of the children..."

"... a certain level of curiosity has developed about whether the alleged victims in this in this case -- boys participating in the Second Mile Mentor program for underprivileged kids -- were African American, with some asserting that they were. If that turns out to be true (the race of the mother of the victim in this video isn't clear) it will undoubtedly add one more level of analysis to this already-disturbing story. Many are already wondering, with good reason, if the identities and circumstances of the kids involved contributed to the allegations not being taken seriously."

I found that at The Root after I started wondering about that myself.

Washington’s enemy ‘doesn’t exist’

Russia Today

Americans are in the crosshairs of terrorists worldwide purely due to Washington's policy in the Muslim world, not because there is an Islamic enemy whose only aim is to kill Americans for their freedoms and lifestyle, insists a former CIA officer.

Historian Michael Scheuer, an author of "Through our enemies' eyes", who worked for the agency for over 20 years till 2004 and at one time was the chief of the CIA's 'Bin Laden unit', says America's greatest enemy – radical Islam – never existed: neither when Bin Laden was alive, nor now.

Israeli lobby drag America into wars

Actually, "it is America's relationship with Israel that is causing this war [on Islam]", and until Americans accept this, "we are not going to defeat this enemy," the author says.

Michael Scheuer believes it is the Israeli lobby in America that is dragging the US into wars.

In Israel [...]

Arlington National Cemetery And Section 60

At Arlington National Cemetery, Mementos For Latest War Dead Get More Personal -- Washington Post

The headstones wear Hawaiian leis and Mardi Gras beads. They are festooned with bottles of Yuengling, flasks full of Jack, boxes of cigars.

In Arlington National Cemetery's Section 60, where those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan lie, the graves aren't just markers of remembrance; they are canvases decorated with stones, shiny balloons and handwritten notes. In this corner of the nation's most sacrosanct military burial ground, all manner of ornamentation abounds — one headstone is covered in lipstick kisses — bringing a colorful poignancy to an otherwise monochromatic place of mourning.
