It was Amitabh Bachchan who had first announced the news of Aishwarya's pregnancy publicly, tweeting on June 21, 2011, ""NEWS NEWS NEWS !! I AM GOING TO BECOME A GRANDFATHER .. AISHWARYA EXPECTING .. SO HAPPY AND THRILLED !!!,".

Aishwarya was admitted to the hospital late on Monday (November 14) and the Bachchans as well as her family - mum Vrinda and dad Krishnaraj have been with her at Seven Hills ever since. Does asking for 5 1/2 hours of oral argument mean that the Supreme Court thinks the Obamacare case is difficult?

That's the Wall Street Journal's preferred interpretation.

The "constitutionality" of the Obama health care law, Harvard Law School's Laurence Tribe wrote in the New York Times earlier this year, "is open and shut," adding that the challenge against it is "a political objection in legal garb."

In announcing yesterday that it will consider the law's constitutionality, the Supreme Court said it would give an historic five-and-a-half hours to oral arguments. Perhaps by his Cambridge standard, Mr. Tribe thinks the nine Justices are a little slow. We prefer to think this shows the Court recognizes the seriousness of the constitutional issues involved. It makes those who cavalierly dismissed the very idea of a challenge two years ago look, well, constitutionally challenged.

The argument for upholding the law rests on a facile application of an existing line of precedent: Look quickly and see that this case is another one of those cases and stamp the law constitutional. Characterizing the case as easy is thus part of arguing for upholding the law. That's what Tribe and others have been doing. Many of the lower court cases have, unsurprisingly, taken that route.

The Supreme Court, which controls the precedents, has to choose between that easy course and drawing a line. If it draws that line and takes down the individual mandate — and perhaps the entire health care reform — it will need to inspire our belief in the truly judicial nature of its exertion of power. To set 5 1/2 hours of oral argument is to command a dramatic performance in the Theater of Law. That will help us see the result as the product of genuine legal process.

Samsung Galaxy Note

Samsung Electronics unveiled its 5.3-inch smartphone Galaxy Note in London on Thursday. The size makes it a kind of halfway house between a phone and a tablet PC.

The phone was originally to be released in the U.S. first, but Samsung changed its mind.

Its 5.3-inch screen makes it easier for users to make notes or watch videos than the 3-4-inch screens of normal smartphones. It is equipped with a dual-core 1.4GHz processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, is 9.65 mm thick and weighs 178 g.

With a stylus pen, users can make notes or touch the screen with greater precision and sensitivity.

After the launch in London, the Galaxy Note will be released in Korea and abroad, Samsung said in a press release, but the exact dates have not been decided.

Greater choice for wireless access point owners

From tagging a post with your location, to checking in to a restaurant, to simply finding out where you are, location-based services have become some of the most popular features of today's Internet. One of the key ways technology companies are able to determine a location for these services is through a location database, which matches publicly broadcast information about local wireless networks with their approximate geographic location. By looking for wireless access points that are close to a user's phone, location providers can return the approximate location you need. In addition, this method is a good alternative to other approaches, like GPS, because it's faster, it works indoors, and it's more battery-efficient.

The wireless access point information we use in our location database, the Google Location Server, doesn't identify people. But as first mentioned in September, we can do more to address privacy concerns.

We're introducing a method that lets you opt out of having your wireless access point included in the Google Location Server. To opt out, visit your access point's settings and change the wireless network name (or SSID) so that it ends with "_nomap." For example, if your SSID is "Network," you'd need to change it to "Network_nomap."

iPhone 4S possibly to hit India by November 24

It seems Apple is trying to shed its tag of using India as a dumping ground for its products. With the iPad 2 launching rather quickly in India, this time around it seems that the iPhone 4S will launch a month and 10 days after it was made available in the US. According to a report by BGR.in, their sources have revealed that the latest iPhone will be announced by Aircel and Airtel on November 24th which is falling on a Thursday. They go on to claim that the phone will be made available from midnight on the 25th of November which is a Friday. Apple tends to stick to the tradition of having product launches on Fridays, so in all likelihood it will be the same here as well.

Their sources have informed them that the iPhone 4 8GB will sell for around Rs. 30,000 while the highest capacity iPhone 4S would sell in the region of Rs. 50,000. This is some seriously high pricing but it is not confirmed yet and apparently carriers are working out plans so hopefully these handsets will be available at a cheaper rate.

BGR is usually quite spot on regarding Apple related information and if this turns out to be true, one should start saving from now itself if they want to pick up the 'best iPhone ever.'

Why did Jerry Sandusky do that interview with Bob Costas?

It starts off very badly. I hear a man who is not committed to confident lying or confident truth-telling. He sounds like he's accessing his memories and filtering what we receive.

"Well, I could say that, you know, I have done some of those things. I have horsed around with kids, I... I have showered after workouts. I... I have hugged them and I have touched their leg... without intent of sexual contact, but, um... uh... so if you look at it that way... uh... there are things that... uh... wouldn't... uh... would be accurate."

After hearing that, I wondered why exposed himself to an interview, why his lawyer let him do that. But as the interview continues, including contributions from the lawyer, I think he does in fact get himself into a better position that where he was before we heard that... assuming we listen to the entire 8+ minutes. He ends:

I don't know what I can say or what I could say that would make anybody feel any different now. I would just say that if somehow people could hang on until my attorney has a chance to fight, you know, for my innocence, that's about all I could ask right now. You know, obviously it's a huge challenge.
