"Judge Who Set Unsecured Bail For Jerry Sandusky Is A Second Mile Volunteer."

"District Judge Leslie Dutchcot... ordered that Sandusky be freed on $100,000 unsecured bail." The prosecutors wanted $500,000 and a leg monitor.

So... is Jerry Sandusky not a flight risk? Maybe not. If you look at the grand jury report, page 20, you'll see that when Sandusky was confronted with the allegations about "Victim 6," he said: "I understand. I was wrong. I wish I could get forgiveness. I know I won't get it from you. I wish I were dead." That suggests his orientation leans toward escape by suicide. I'm no expert on the standards relating to bail requests, but don't you think that someone who'd consider suicide as the solution lacks the energy and determination to flee or at least is unlikely to flee successfully? I don't know. Presumably, he has plenty of money, and he knows he's likely to lose it all in the various lawsuits that will be filed. What's $100,000 to him?

US drone terror bombing of Somalia combined with US instigated invasion by Somalia's neighbors like Kenya and Ethiopia create more death and destruction than the famine.

Seventy-nine more people have been killed in US assassination drone attacks in southern Somalia, bringing the death toll to 146 over the past two days, Press TV reported. The US military launched terror drone attacks on Bilis Qooqaani town, which is located 448 kilometers (278 miles) southwest of the Somali capital Mogadishu, on Friday. At least 79 people were killed and several others were injured in the strikes.

Meanwhile, at least 38 people were killed and over 66 others were wounded after US remote-controlled terror drones launched attacks on Tabataa town, which is located in the southern Lower Juba region of Somalia. Somalia is the sixth country where the United States has used assassination drones to launch deadly missile strikes.

$130B Hit For U.S. Modernization -- Defense News

Five-Year Toll Is Distinct From Supercommittee.

WASHINGTON and NEW YORK - About half of the $260 billion in U.S. defense spending cuts over the next five years will come from weapon modernization accounts, according to defense analysts.

Roughly $60 billion - about 25 percent - of the cuts will come from efficiencies, while another $60 billion or so will come from reductions in force structure, said Emerson Gardner, a retired lieutenant general who served as the principal deputy director of the Pentagon's Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation o [...]
